Cuttlefish Bone Process
This is a video of the Cuttlefish Bone process. I’m excited to explore this old traditional technique that allows casting to happen in-house without needing a kiln. Every Cuttlefish Bone has a unique pattern — one of a kind, such as a fingerprint — that makes each design special. No cuttlefish has been harmed in this process; I source washed-up bone found on the beaches of New Zealand.
