       Rebecca Wallace was born in Bellflower, California. She originally studied fashion design at Long Beach City College then continued her education in San Francisco, California. After moving to Santa Cruz, California, she appreciated what that the fashion industry had to offer, but decided to study Early Childhood Education at Cabrillo College in Aptos, California.

 

Feeling disconnected from her art, she delved into many jewelry and sculpture courses at Cabrillo College. Falling in love with the craftsmanship, Rebecca decided to pursue higher education in the Arts. Rebecca’s counselor encouraged her to apply at San Jose State University’s Spatial Art Program. Rebecca was compelled to expand her knowledge in metal work. Rebecca was accepted in the Fall of 2018 and graduated with her BFA with an emphasis in Metalsmithing in the Spring of 2021.
