Artist Bio

Santa Cruz, California
Rebecca Wallace was born in Bellflower, California. She originally studied fashion design at Long Beach City College then continued her education in San Francisco, California. After moving to Santa Cruz, California, she appreciated what the fashion industry had to offer, but decided to study Early Childhood Education at Cabrillo College in Aptos, California.
Feeling disconnected from her art, she delved into many jewelry and sculpture courses at Cabrillo College. Falling in love with the craftsmanship, Rebecca decided to pursue higher education in the Arts. Rebecca’s counselor encouraged her to apply at San Jose State University’s Spatial Art Program. Rebecca was compelled to expand her knowledge in metal work, and was accepted in the Fall of 2018.
